On Sunday morning, Sarah had severe stomach pains. She felt like she could still go to Mass so she went with the rest of her family. All throughout Mass, she was still in a lot of pain and got up twice to try to use the bathroom. This past Thursday, she had intense lower back pain on both sides that was unexplainable. She hadn't strained it, lifted anything heavy, or done anything that would cause so much pain. Her dad, Eric, put the heating pad on it, massaged it, and put an ice pack on it that night. The next morning, Friday, it was still a little sore, but was okay by that afternoon. Then she started having diarrhea. Saturday, she had more diarrhea and was exhausted. That night she was feeling better and she and her family went to the movies.
Now Sunday morning came. She wasn't feeling that great but decided to go to Mass to see how she would do. "She could barley stand up even leaning heavily on the pew in front of her and rushed to the restroom twice during Mass!" her mother, Sabrena, commented to the nurse later. The family had lunch plans later and Sabrena was going to take Sarah home, but the family let her rest in the guest room so she could at least be with everyone. The next day, the pain had gotten worse and by 4 pm, Sarah was bent over double and couldn't walk without bending over because of the pain. Sabrena got her to the Emergency Room by 6:30.
